ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL)
Las Alitas (Wings) is the English as a Second Language ESL class with instructor, Gary McMillen.
Gary is an experienced and effective teacher who has taught English with the local Hispanic and Vietnamese communities for years. Students who have taken ESL with Gary attest to the level of confidence that they have while speaking English. Truly, they have acquired "wings"!
Celebrate Christmas 2019
Children who attend with their parents are hosted in a separate room where they enjoy activities such as games, coloring, puzzles and stories. On one Friday of each month the Gretna United Methodist Church hosts a children’s event called “Friends Following Faith on Friday” and children who’s parents are in the ESL class attend this fun evening of activities.
